Visit Steamboat Springs for a fabulous weekend of Oktoberfest traditions, including Rocky Mountain beer, local food specialties and festivities unique to Steamboat Springs.
The weekend kicks off on Friday with Suds & Grub, a cruiser bike parade through historic downtown with stops at restaurants for beer tastings and food specials. Saturday’s event, OktoberWest at the Steamboat Mountain Village, is free to attend and listen to great live music from Moreland and Arbuckle. You can purchase tickets in advance for the I Love Beef Cook Off and the beer garden. Sunday, finish the weekend off at Yampa Street Live a town party with western music, line dancing and great beer.
Friday, September 20th ~ Suds & Grub
Meet at Howelsen Hill at 5:00pm for the Pedaling Posse Parade, a cruiser bike ride through historic downtown. Dress in your best Beer Fest gear and join the party, Suds & Grub starts at 5:30pm. You may purchase tokens at the Little Toots Park (12th and Yampa) or at Howelsen Place (7th and Lincoln); $5 for 6 Tasting Tokens (5oz tastes). A list of participating restaurants and food specials will be available at the token booths.
Saturday, September 21st ~ OktoberWest
Spend the afternoon tasting Colorado Beer, sampling Colorado Beef and relaxing with your feet in the creek at the Steamboat Mountain Village. The Gondola opens from 10am – 4pm and one ticket is good for the whole weekend of riding. The kids will have a blast at the Coca-Cola Adventure Zone, enjoy a 50% discount on the activities for the day, open 11am – 5pm. Try out the new Water Wakerz, Ropes Course and the all-time favorite, Slingshot Bungee Jump!
The OktoberWest Festival takes place in Gondola Square and along Burges Creek from 2 – 6pm. Buy tickets online for the I Love Beef Cook Off, Beer Garden or both! The Beer Garden will feature over 20 Colorado Brewers, each sampling 2 kinds of brew! Each attendee receives a commemorative mug with the purchase of the Beer Garden ticket. Sample Colorado Beef from Steamboat’s finest restaurants; as they compete for the winner of the I Love Beef Cook Off. Attendees will taste dishes from each restaurant and cast their vote for their favorite! Listen to the roots-rock sounds of Moreland & Arbuckle headlining the Steamboat Stage with opening act Tombstone beginning at 3pm. Lederhosen T-Shirts and Collector Mugs are available for purchase at the event.

Sunday, September 22nd ~ Yampa Live
Come enjoy country line dance lessons at the Yampa Live music garden from 1-5pm on Yampa Street. The kids will enjoy learning how to rope like a real cowboy and meeting the animals at the 4H petting zoo. Adults and children can try their hand at a mechanical bull ride. Quench your thirst with beer, wine or soda and enjoy tasty treats from local vendors. Experience a real western block party.
First annual 4H Community Dinner will follow the event from 4-6pm on Yampa Street. Steamboat Meat and Seafood will be roasting a 4H pig and the Yampa Street restaurants will be serving up the side dishes. Buy tickets at All that Jazz $20 for adults and $10 for kids, proceeds go to 4H.
Don’t forget… please walk, bike or ride the free bus to and from the events! All events happen rain or shine.
